Their Alive And Kicking Tour, their largest across North America in four decades, sees Soft Cell and Modern English opening.
The only other Canadian date is Montreal on June 17 at Bell Centre.
Artist presales begin Wednesday at 10 a.m. and local presales begin Thursday at 10 a.m. with all presales ending Thursday at 10 p.m.
“Been a while but absence makes the heart grow fonder,” says lead singer Jim Kerr in a statement. “Simple Minds are ecstatic at the prospect of touring so extensively in the U.S. and Canada this coming Spring.”
The tour coincides with the 40th anniversary of Simple Minds’ momentous 1985, a milestone year in their legendary career which saw them topping the world’s charts with Don’t You (Forget About Me) and seventh studio album Once Upon A Time.
Simple Minds will be performing Don’t You (Forget About Me) on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Wednesday.

– Pop star and American Idol judge Katy Perry has added a second date at Scotiabank Arena on Aug. 6 after her previously announced show there on Aug. 5.
Amex presales start Tuesday, artist presales on Wednesday at 10 a.m. and the general public tickets are on sale Friday at livenation.com at 10 a.m.
Perry’s Lifetimes tour is in support of her new album, 143, and she has a total of seven Canadian dates on the trek.
– Speaking of American Idol, country music star and AI judge Luke Bryan touches down at Budweiser Stage on July 10 for his only Canadian stop with tickets on sale Feb. 14 at livenation.com.

– City and Colour, aka Dallas Green, pulls into Budweiser Stage on June 20 for a special acoustic performance of the album, Sometimes, in its entirety followed by a career-spanning set. Sometimes is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The artists presale starts Tuesday at 10 a.m. and the general onsale is Friday at 10 a.m. at livenation.com.
City and Colour has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 per ticket goes to supporting organizations working for equity, access, and dignity for all.
The show will be Green’s 12th performance at Budweiser Stage, the most for any Canadian artist with the exception of Blue Rodeo and Drake’s OVO Festival, and the only independent artist to do so.
– Alt-rock vets Incubus visit Budweiser Stage on June 30 to play their album, Morning View, in its entirety plus their hits with tickets on sale Friday at livenation.com. Manchester Orchestra will open.
The artist presale starts Tuesday and a portion of the tickets proceeds will go toward long-term wildfire relief in California.
Toronto is their only Canadian tour date.
